Once, my friend Ana Flor de Carvalho reminded me of the broken oriental vases that were glued with gold. I don't remember the exact content of the conversation, but we were talking about the metaphorical meaning of "repairing" something, but leaving its scar apparent. I had this beautiful image in my head and decided to write a song about it.
I found my musical path exploring a pentatonic melody, however, I tried to write and rewrite the lyrics a few times, but it never came up well. So I presented the song and it's story to my friend Maurício Tagliari and asked him some help to finish it. Inspired by the lessons of Chagdud Tulku Rimpoche-his Tibetan guru, he managed to say everything I wanted, but simplier and more precisely that I ever imagined.
